This is SUCH a special place! We had a wonderful family vacation to the Dells with our two kids. Orange Tractor Retreat is an oasis in the trees overlooking the river, surrounded by private walking trails, wild berries everywhere and a perfect way to enjoy nature while in close proximity to all of the crazy fun of the Dells. We also did some of the most gorgeous hiking nearby - hiked up a creek and scrambled across huge boulders and canyons in the Palfrey's Glen hike not too far a drive. These cabins are wonderful and I can't recommend them enough if you're looking for the perfect mix of nature and fun in and around the Dells. Special shout out to the new deck that overlooks the river - stunning views and a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee! I feel so lucky we found this spot to stay.
So happy we found this gem of a place! It has everything you need and so close to everything! We even found a doggy daycare about 10 min away and dropped our 2 dogs off to explore where dogs aren’t typically allowed. Love how peaceful the property is. The cabins are close in distance, but far enough that you still have privacy. We plan to make it an annual trip and hopefully be able to rent all 5 cabins to make one big family vacation!
We had a wonderful time in the Deer cabin for our family vacation. The cabin came with everything we needed to enjoy our time there. Lots of dishes and cookware were included plus silverware, spices, etc. The size of the space was perfect and we loved the modern decor. The outdoor fire pit was great and fully stocked with wood!! Very comfy chairs too! The trails were very nice too with lovely woods to enjoy the scenic trees. We found the overlook of the river to be so amazing! Overall great stay! We will def come back!!
Amazing place to stay whether you are visiting The Wisconsin Dells or not! The cabins are spacious, comfortable and nestled beautifully in the 40-acre forest. The fire pit area, at each cabin, has a Solo stove fire pit and fire wood is fully stocked. Our dog and kids loved the multiple well groomed trails within the woods. They even had dog waste trash cans and poop bags on the trails. Already looking to book again… you should def. do the same !
We stayed here during a ski trip to Cascade and loved it. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and very cozy. The weather was cold and windy, so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space much, but we hope to return and explore the nearby trails and river. P.S. The only downside was the low water pressure in the shower.
I would 10/10 recommend Orange Tractor Retreat! The customer service is spot on and the facilities are gorgeous!! Lots of room to walk / hike and plenty close to town. I came home yesterday and already want to go back. We went there for a yoga retreat and rented two cabins-- it worked perfectly. It was quiet, cabins were close enough to each other to feel connected and plenty of room for activity. The owners were very hands on and helpful in this process. I will be going back!! Stop looking… stay here! The Orange Tractor Retreat is absolutely gorgeous from the driveway as you navigate through Pine trees to the overlook on the Wisconsin river. Each of the cabins has its own unique character with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The owners are incredibly friendly and provide tons of guidance, assistance, and resources. They meticulously maintain the grounds and even spray for bugs so you can truly enjoy the outdoor experience! We rented all the cabins to host our wedding on the property. The manicured trails are gorgeous for intimate ceremonies and the gravel event space is perfect for tented receptions. Ditch the hotels in the Dells and make endless memories in this magical place!
What a great location! Me and my family rented 3 cabins over the Christmas holiday and had the best time! The owners are responsive and kind. And the cabins a super cute, modern and comfortable! Not to mention a short drive into town. We’re already planning our trip back! Thank you OTR, we can’t wait to come back!
